About Our Student Ministry
Answering the Call
At First Christian Youth, we're passionate about helping students grow in faith and character as they become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Our goal is to partner with parents to guide middle school and high school students as they encounter God, build lasting friendships, and learn to live out their faith in everyday life.
Our Safety
We Believe every student should feel safe, valued and known.
All leaders and volunteers are background-checked and trained to create a secure, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment.
Parents can rest assured knowing their teens are surrounded by caring adults who want to see them thrive in faith and life.

Who We Are
We are a ministry designed to help students:
- Known Jesus personally
- Build community through meaningful relationships
- Live on mission, sharing God's love in their schools, homes, and beyond
Each week, students experience a balance of faith, fellowship, and fun as they grow into young men and women who follow Christ with confidence.

Our Vision
Discipleship begins here. Student ministry does not merely exist to keep the students entertained while their parents go into big church to hear the message but exists to inspire students to follow Christ with their lives through intentional relationships.
Though these students may be young, the apostle Paul wrote to young Timothy saying, "Don't let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity (1 Tim. 4:12, CSB)." So, too, will we strive to encourage these young believers in these 5 areas as we believe that each one of these students can make a lasting impact in their community, and the world, by living out our student ministry values: LOVING GOD and LOVING PEOPLE (Matt. 22:37-40).
Our Values
Everything we do flows from Jesus’ command to Love God and Love People (Matthew 22:37–40).
These values shape how we teach, lead, and walk alongside students in every setting:
- Bible – God’s Word changes everything.
We teach students that Scripture is alive and relevant today. Through engaging lessons and real-life application, they learn to see the Bible not as a textbook, but as the foundation for knowing who God is and how to follow Him. - Worship – More than music; it’s a lifestyle.
We help students understand that worship goes beyond singing — it’s about honoring God in every part of life: at school, at home, on the field, and with friends. Worship shapes their identity and priorities. - Prayer – Depend on God in all things.
Prayer is how we stay connected to God. We teach students that God listens, cares, and responds — helping them build a personal, daily habit of prayer for guidance, gratitude, and strength. - Community – Nobody walks alone.
Teen years can be challenging. That’s why we create a safe, welcoming space where students can belong, be real, and find encouragement from peers and caring adult leaders. Faith grows best in community. - Serving – Faith in action.
We believe faith becomes real when it’s lived out. Through service projects, mission opportunities, and acts of kindness, students learn to make a difference and reflect Jesus’ love in practical ways. - Sharing – Take Jesus everywhere.
We equip students to share their faith naturally and confidently — not through pressure, but through love, compassion, and integrity. Our goal is to help them see every day as a mission field.
Volunteers
Volunteers offer a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment that models the love of God. They are equipped and encouraged to use their God-given gifts, resources and training to confidently and effectively minister to children.
We are excited about partnering with Jesus and families to faithfully serve Jesus Christ and His mission to make disciples are we Connect, Grow, and Serve.
