About Salvation

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).  This verse establishes the need for salvation, highlighting that all humans have sinned and are separated from God.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23),  This verse explains the consequence of sin (death) and contrasts it with the gift of eternal life through Jesus.

But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).  This verse emphasizes God's love and sacrifice in sending Jesus to die for humanity's sins.

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 1:9).  This verse outlines the act of faith - confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection - which leads to salvation.

For everyone who calls on the the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13)  This verse emphasizes that salvation is available to all who call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus).

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).  This verse highlights the result of salvation: peace with God and justification  through faith in Jesus.
